High grading gold values have been assayed from grab samples taken b y Glen Auden Resources from the company’s Swayze- Denyse property.
Located south of Timmins, Ont., the property has been mapped, trenched and sampled. The work focused on a carbonitized volcanic unit hosting quartz veins. Grab samples from the quartz veins assayed between 0.176-0.617 oz gold per ton. Volcanic tuffs assayed up to 1.3 oz. The average grade of 10 samples of both quartz and tuff was 0.378 oz, Glen Auden says.
The quartz vein, which is 12.5 ft wide in places, has been traced for for 200 ft along strike. Glen Auden is especially encouraged with its sampling of the altered volcanic unit which yielded gold values. The company believes the larger unit adds possibilities for identifying much wider zones of economic mineralization.
Follow-up work will include geophysical surveys designed to trace the entire length of the vein system, which is overburden covered.
