New deposit area on Viceroy’s Castle Mt project

A new high grade deposit area has been discovered on Viceroy Resources Corp.’s Castle Mountain open pit heap leach gold project located in San Bernardino Cty., Calif.

The company says the new deposit area is east of the Jumbo South deposit. Called the Lesley Ann, the new deposit is the fourth discovered on this 450-claim property which covers about 12 sq mi.

In Hole 156 drilled in the new area, a 300-ft step-out encountered an interval of 65 ft grading 1.103 oz gold per ton. The hole had a total mineralized zone of 210 ft from 200 ft to 410 ft grading an average of 0.379 oz. The hole ended in high grade oxidized mineralization of 0.431 oz.

Other holes in the area include Hole 150 which returned 0.076 oz over 180 ft. Hole 157 returned 0.035 oz gold per ton over 150 ft and Hole 155 returned 0.039 oz over 220 ft.

Drilling is currently under way in the Oro Belle deposit area. Drilling on the Lesley Ann area will start as soon as a second drilling rig can be moved to the property.
