A sampling program is under way on the Eduardo zinc deposit controlled by Canper Resources. Located in Peru, the deposit, although small in tonnage, hosts high grade zinc mineralization. Estimated reserves stand at 400,000 tons grading 32% zinc and 1.5% lead.
Initial sampling results from shallow pits in the northern section of the deposit returned average grades ranging from 23.9%-38.9%, the company says.
At the company’s Katrine gold property, located 15 miles north of Larder Lake, Ont., geophysical and geological surveys have begun. Grab samples from several old trenchs on the 10-claim property assayed between 0.15-0.18 oz gold per ton, the company says.
A stockpile of 9,000 tons grading 0.2 oz gold per ton exists on the property. Canper is sampling the pile inorder to confirm tonnages and grade, with the intention of shipping the ore for custom milling in the near future. The Katrine property, which was never a producer, was developed by a 515-ft shaft in the late 1920s
