Resistivity surveys on the London alluvial diamond project in the Northwest Province of South Africa support owner
The survey covered seven lines and a total of 8.4 line km, providing a subsurface picture of an area roughly 3 km long. The survey showed two main alluvial channels, each running the full length of the surveyed area, and another secondary channel about 1 km long.
Another old river channel, about 1.5 km long, and the present river channel are both considered to be low-priority targets. All the old systems are crosscut by a ridge-like feature about 1 km wide.
Monroe is looking for a resource that could support at least two years of alluvial production. Drilling is planned for the alluvial channels, and the company hopes to have a mine plan mapped out by the end of September.
