A sub-surface layer of till containing kimberlite float boulders in the Northwest Territories has returned a low diamond count.
Ashton found the the boulders while conducting prospecting and hand trenching in an area where two till samples each contained more than 10,000 kimberlite indicator minerals. Given the low diamond count, no further work is planned for locating the source of the float. Ashton will continue to analyze data from this year’s till sampling and geophysical surveys in order to determine the extent of future work.
