Luhala reveals more gold

Drilling by Tan Range Exploration (TNX-V) has led to the discovery of more gold mineralization at the Luhala property in Tanzania’s Lake Victoria Goldfields district.

The prospect, called Shilalo South, returned 1 metre grading 29.5 grams gold per tonne in hole 1, as well as 2 metres grading 2.75 grams gold in hole 2. An additional 1,000 metres are to be drilled.

Also, the first core hole drilled at the Kisunge Hill zone intersected three intervals of 1.5 metres averaging 1.1 grams gold per tonne, 14.4 metres averaging 5.7 grams and 6.5 metres averaging 1.41 grams. A second hole yielded 2.68 grams over 2 metres, and both holes confirm previous results from rapid-air-blast drilling.

Mineralization in both areas is near the surface and associated with a siliceous felsic horizon interpreted as being a chert or a rhyolite. The horizon, which dips steeply to the south, varies between 10 and 15 metres in width.

Tan Range owns a 100% interest in the Luhala property, which comprises 126 sq. km.
