Crystallex backs Idaho Consolidated

Under the terms of a management agreement, Crystallex International (KRY-T) will provide technical support services for Idaho Consolidated Metals‘ (IDO-V) exploration efforts at the Stillwater complex properties in Montana.

The layered mafic-ultramafic intrusion hosts the producing Stillwater platinum mine, operated by Stillwater Mining (SWC-X). Idaho Consolidated is preparing to launch a first-phase of work on its nearby ground. The program will consist of at least 4,000 metres of drilling in the Fishtail and Iron Mountain-Crescent Creek areas.

Crystallex also intends to help Idaho Consolidated raise funds for its exploration and development plans.

Crystallex holds numerous exploration projects in South America but is best known for its unsuccessful ownership challenge to Las Cristinas, a low-grade gold project operated by Placer Dome (PDG-T) in Venezuela. The major recently suspended its plans to develop a mine at Las Cristinas, owing to low gold prices.
