Prospectors, geologists and other interested parties will meet from June 2 to 4 in Baie-Comeau, Que., to discuss exploration on the province’s North Shore.
It will be the third such summit, which is held every two years. Each of the two previous summits, held in Port-Cartier and Sept-les, attracted about 300 people.
The event is being organized by the Association des Prospecteurs de Manicouagan in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources of Quebec and the Fonds d’exploration minire de la Cte-Nord.
The theme this year is “mining exploration: on its way in technology,” which will be addressed by prospectors, company executives and government geologists. The 3-day summit will include field visits and geological displays and exhibits.
