Kimberley to host conference

The historic city of Kimberley, South Africa, will host the World Diamond Conference Nov. 1-4.

Nicky Oppenheimer, chairman of diamond mining giant De Beers Consolidated Mines, will present the opening keynote address. Diamond projects in Africa, Australia, Russia and Canada will be featured at this event, which will include tours of mine sites.

Renowned geologists John Gurney and John Bristow will host a one-day workshop on diamond exploration.
