Tiberon tests Ruby property

Calgary-based Tiberon Minerals (TBR-A) has intersected silver mineralization on its Ruby property in the southern Yukon.

The 4-hole program tested the downdip extensions of high-grade silver mineralization present in surface showings at the Steve and Connie veins.

Two holes tested the Connie vein, where channel sampling returned an average of 3,359 grams silver per tonne over 2.1 metres. Hole 1 intersected a 10.5-metre interval averaging 211 grams silver. Within that interval, 4.7 metres graded 396 grams silver and 1.3 grams gold.

Hole 2 was collared 80 metres to the south, intersecting a 2.2-metre interval of 142 grams silver.

Drill holes 3 and 4 were designed to test the Steve vein, where channel sampling returned an average of 2,920 grams silver over 1.9 metres. The vein was not intersected in the holes and no significant mineralization was encountered.

Tiberon’s summer field program identified four additional fault-controlled veins on the property. Two of these, the Tom and Brian veins, have been explored and sampled.

The Tom vein has been traced for 10 metres along strike and shows a maximum width of 1.6 metres. Channel samples across the vein returned up to 4,135 grams silver.

The Brian vein has been exposed for 20 metres along strike and shows a maximum width of 1.3 metres. Chip samples across a 1-metre width returned 2,028 grams silver.

The company says bad weather prevented the veins from being drill-tested during the recent program.

Situated 78 km south of Whitehorse, the Ruby property is wholly owned by Tiberon.
