Drilling on the Buffer zone claims in the Northwest Territories has uncovered two more kimberlite pipes, boosting to 28 the number found to date. Five targets have yet to be tested.

Several previously discovered pipes will be drilled for further delineation and for microdiamond analysis. High-resolution airborne geophysical surveys are being conducted in preparation for summer drilling.
Mini-bulk samples were collected this past winter from large-diameter reverse-circulation drilling on the Gazelle and Piranha pipes, yielding 234 tonnes and 90 tonnes, respectively. Only one of the Buffer zone pipes — the Jay — has been bulk-sampled previously.
