COAL, URANIUM & OIL SANDS — Stratabound digs Monarca

Junior Stratabound Minerals (SB-A) has obtained favourable historical data on its Monarca polymetallic property in Mexico’s Coahuila state.

A 1948 report, which is itself based on earlier accounts, shows that 12 of the 80 known past-producers mined oxide zones consisting of high-grade lead-zinc-silver mineralization. The zones varied from less than 1 metre to 7 metres in width, having grades as high as 60% lead, 40% zinc, 1,800 grams silver per tonne and, in some cases, 13.3% iron.

In all, Monarca contains 25 km of favourable Cretaceous dolomites, with the known workings dotting nearly half of that strike length. Mineralization is associated with a regional anticline, similar to two other nearby properties in which the company can earn 100% interests.
