IP targets tested at Munro

Partners Queenston Mining (QMI-T) and Franco-Nevada Mining (FN-T) have begun drilling geophysical targets at the their Munro property near Kirkland Lake, Ont.

Eight holes totalling 2,740 metres will test nine of ten induced-polarization anomalies detected in three different geological units. The anomalies are considered prospective for gold mineralization, which is regionally associated with the Kirkland Lake-Larder Lake break.

Munro covers a 3.2-km stretch of claims that form part of the larger, 727-claim Kirkland Lake property. For the past two years the companies have been exploring the property jointly, during which time they have discovered two deposits, raising to five the number of deposits discovered there to date.
