Edmonton-based Western Pacific Gold (WPI-A) says it has entered negotiations with an undisclosed company to form a joint venture to explore in Papua New Guinea.
Western Pacific is keeping the name of the company under wraps but adds that representatives have visited its Ofi Creek project and that they will soon begin relogging core from 11 diamond drill holes. Western Pacific has calculated a resource at Ofi Creek at 115 million tonnes grading 0.47 gram gold per tonne.
The junior is also exploring several targets at the Wamum porphyry project in Papua New Guinea.
