Indo Metals (IOM-V) has completed a brokered private placement of 1.96 million units at 60cents each, for total proceeds of $1.17 million. Each unit consists of one share and half a share purchase warrant.
The funds will be used for exploration on the company’s Maluku joint venture in Indonesia, which Indo shares with the Ingold subsidiary of Inco (N-T) and the Indonesian state mining enterprise Aneka Tambang.
Ingold is earning an 80% to 85% interest in the properties, which cover parts of four islands between Sulawesi and Irian Jaya. Indo Metals, in turn, can earn 49% of Ingold’s interest by funding US$2 million in exploration work.
