Reunion Mining, Rift Res. explore gold potential of Silobela project in southeastern Africa

Rift Resources (RIF-V) and its United Kingdom-based partner, Reunion Mining, have begun a 25-hole program of percussion drilling on the Silobela gold project in Zimbabwe.

The drilling is focused on four targets at the Northallerton and Leith Hills prospects.

Several gold-in-soil anomalies were identified over the Northallerton and Leith Hills grid areas, with values of up to 3 grams gold per tonne. The partners also report coincident induced-polarization anomalies.

At Northallerton, two sub-parallel zones extend for 3.1 and 1.5 km.

At Leith Hills, two parallel zones have been identified with lengths of 7 and 3 km.

Rift is earning a half interest in Silobela by spending US$1.5 million over four years, having already spent US$250,000 to date. Upon spending US$750,000, Rift will hold a 20% interest in the project.
