DIAMOND PAGE — Results positive from Camsell Lake

Encouraged by the number and size of diamonds recovered from a 13-hole drill program at the Camsell Lake project in the Northwest Territories, partners Winspear Resources (WSP-V) and Aber Resources (ABZ-T) intend to collect a larger sample of this material for further testing.

A total of 149 macros and 252 microdiamonds was recovered from a combined 137.1-kg sample of kimberlite dyke. Twenty-five of the macros exceed a size of 1 mm in at least one dimension, the largest measuring 1.8 mm. (A macro is defined as measuring more than 0.5 mm in at least one dimension.) The macrodiamonds average a grade of 3.69 carats per tonne.

The color of the diamonds is as follows: white (43.7%); off-white (3.2%); grey (1%); yellow (39.2%); off-yellow (1.5%); amber (7.2%); brown (0.5%); green (2.7%); and pink (1%).

Winspear notes that there is a high proportion of yellow diamonds and that pink and green diamonds are present. About 88% of the diamonds are described as transparent, with the most of the balance categorized as translucent.

Results have yet to be received from caustic fusion analysis performed on samples from two other holes. These returned 98.5- and 107-Metre-Thick intersections of complex kimberlite breccia from anomaly CL 186.

In the meantime, a summer field program of follow-up sampling is under way in the Snap Lake area, as well as in other areas of the property.

The Camsell Lake project is held 57.3% by Winspear and 42.7% by Aber.
