DIAMOND PAGE — Bigger is better for Redaurum

Toronto-based Redaurum (RRK-T) has discovered two more large diamonds at the Kelsey Lake mine in northern Colorado.

The two gem-quality stones were found in mid-July from the KL2 kimberlite pipe. One is an octahendron measuring 28.2 carats, reportedly the sixth-largest gem stone discovered in North America. The other stone measures 16.3 carats.

About 65% of all diamonds produced so far at Kelsey Lake have been gem quality, and 25% have been larger than one carat.

The mine has an estimated resource of nearly 17 million tonnes of kimberlite material covering 22 acres.
