A follow-up exploration program by Impact Minerals (IPT-V) is testing the Eagle Mountain gold property, some 45 km from Cambior’s Omai gold mine in central Guyana.
The program is being funded by Calgary-based Geodyne Technologies, which can earn a 50% interest in Impact’s option by spending $250,000 on exploration.
The current program will entail deep soil augering over the 1-km-long, gold-in-soil anomaly identified during the 1996 program at Eagle Mountain.
Prospecting and trenching also will be carried out to test known gold occurrences found elsewhere on the property.
Impact says the spring program is aimed at establishing targets for a diamond drill program.
The Vancouver-based junior also has exploration projects under way in the Dominican Republic.
