Pacific Rim enters financing deal

Pacific Rim Mining (PFG-V) will use proceeds from a $12.7-million equity financing to accelerate exploration of its Cerro Blanco and La Colorada properties in northwestern Argentina and fund future acquisitions.

A group of underwriters — Nesbitt Burns, First Marathon Securities and Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon — has agreed to a private placement of 1 million special warrants, with an option for an additional 1 million special warrants, at $6.375 each.

One special warrant will be exerciseable into one share without further payment.
