Geological mapping by Diagem International Resource (DGM-V) is under way at a newly acquired project in the Juina diamond camp of Brazil’s Mato Grosso state.
The land package covers 11,000 ha in the central part of the camp, including an area where small-scale alluvial production is in progress. The mapping program is seeking to uncover kimberlite source rocks, as well as their related indicator minerals.
In a separate development, Diagem closed an agreement allowing Beringer Gold (BGC-T) to earn a 70% interest in a 370,000-ha package of ground assembled by Diagem in northern Mato Grosso. Berginer has started a program aimed at evaluating the project’s gold potential.
