Conference to address mine diesel exhaust

The Diesel Emissions Evaluation Program (DEEP) Conference will be held Nov.

6-7 at the Delta Chelsea Inn in downtown Toronto.

To be hosted jointly by Diesel Controls Ltd. and Rhne-Poulenc, the conference will highlight how DEEP can be used to reduce the level of toxic diesel fumes to which underground workers are exposed.

The conference will include panel discussions on air-quality monitoring, ventilation, machine maintenance and mine environment studies.

The conference will also feature forums hosted by labor, provincial inspectors and mine operators.
