Gold found in chip samples taken from its property in Java, Indonesia, was sufficient to triple the share price of Goldstake Explorations (GXP-T) last week.
The shares jumped to $3.55 from $2.37 on Sept. 17 before slipping 80 cents the following day. The company’s trading volume hit 6.5 million on Sept. 17 and 3.6 million on Sept. 18. The flurry of trading followed the release of four assays from chip samples taken from the Joy and Ann zones of Goldstake’s property on the island. The samples graded 8.95 grams, 13.27 grams, 50.19 grams and 105 grams gold per tonne.
Goldstake is preparing to survey the northern part of its exploration permit; drilling will follow.
