Silver Tusk drills Indonesian target

An initial phase of drilling is planned for the Karya Bukit Utama gold-silver property, on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

Consolidated Silver Tusk Mines (CKT-V), which holds rights to an 80% interest in the property, will drill 2,500 metres initially in an effort to test an epithermal gold-silver deposit.

Twenty-seven individual adits exist on the property, and Silver Tusk reports that small-scale mining in the past produced more than 43,000 tonnes grading 10 grams gold and 189 grams silver per tonne.

The Karya Bukit Utama vein has been mined to a depth of 100 metres below surface, and Consolidated Silver Tusk sees further potential at depth.
