DIAMOND PAGE — DO-18 pipe yields mini-bulk sample

About 6.5 tonnes of kimberlite were recovered by a single, large-diameter drill hole on the DO-18 pipe at the WO claim block in the Lac de Gras area of the Northwest Territories.

Kennecott Canada, which holds a 40% interest in the claims, will process the sample at its diamond recovery plant in Yellowknife. The hole reached a depth of 310.6 metres before it was forced to shut down as a result of unspecified problems.

A second hole will be drilled later in the year, after the area is frozen.

The remaining interest in the claims is held 35% by DHK Resources, 15% by Aber Resources (ABZ-T) and 10% by SouthernEra Resources (SUF-T). Ownership of DHK is split equally among Dentonia Resources (DTA-V), Horseshoe Gold Mining (HSX-A) and Kettle River Resources (KRR-T).
