ANNUAL REPORT REVIEW — Odin drills Ecuadorean property

Ecuadorean explorer Odin Mining & Exploration (VSE) has started drilling two separate targets at its Ximena gold property in Cotopaxi province.

The junior intends to drill 18 holes totalling 3,600 metres along a 1,500-metre-long, anomalous shear zone at the Espin-Veletanga portion of the property. Previous reverse-circulation drilling intersected economic grades of gold over several metres.

An intrusive-related, gold-bearing jasperoid, found in stream beds at Perros Bravos, will be tested with a 2,000-metre, 10-hole drill program. The jasperoid has returned values ranging from slightly anomalous to up to 4 grams gold per tonne.

Elsewhere in the country, on the Guayabo and Marcia gold properties in El Oro province, Odin has begun mapping, trenching and sampling programs. At Guayabo, the company is determining the extent of a mineralized breccia zone where earlier drilling over 26 metres returned 2.97 grams gold.
