A second phase of drilling is under way on the Laguna Verde property in Argentina.
Partners HRC Development (VSE) and Eldorado (TSE) will carry out 6,000-8,000ft. of reverse-circulation work, mainly on the southeastern extension of the Nordin gold porphyry.
The first phase, which included 16 holes totalling 5,000 ft., outlined an elongated, gold-bearing stockwork roughly 650 ft. wide and 1,000 ft. long.
The drilling returned an average grade of 0.015 oz. gold per ton, and the mineralization is reported to be highly oxidized and friable to a depth of more than 400 ft.
In addition to testing extensions to the Nordin zone, the joint venture will test five induced-polarization anomalies within a 2-mile-long trend extending to the southeast of Nordin.
