CaribGold surveys Cuban properties

In search of drill targets, CaribGold Resources (TSE) is conducting geophysical surveys on its most advanced properties in Cuba.

An induced-polarization (IP) survey exceeding 50 line km is being carried out on three prospects on the Tuinicu concession.

Two of these, the Santa Cruz and Los Pinos, have exhibited widespread, porphyry-type gold, silver and copper mineralization.

At the third, San Ramon, limited diamond drilling in the late 1980s indicated a geological resource of 10 million tonnes grading 0.25% copper, with no gold assays having been taken. Surface sampling at San Ramon by CaribGold returned gold values of up to 1.9 grams gold per tonne, spurring a reassessment of the prospect.

Meanwhile, at the Sigua gold-silver-copper-lead prospect, near Santiago de Cuba, 10 km of line-cutting are in progress. An IP survey and diamond drilling will follow.

CaribGold has completed an electromagnetic survey on the Guadalupe copper-cobalt-gold prospect, outlining a strong conductor over a strike length of 1 km.
