The World Bank will hold a symposium on investment and business opportunities in the mining sectors of Central Asia and the Balkan and Caucasus countries.
The event, scheduled for May 23-25, will be held in Montreal in conjunction with the Third African Mining Symposium, also being sponsored by the World Bank.
Representatives from countries such as Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will discuss opportunities for investment and the conditions under which such investment may occur.
The financing of mining ventures in Central Asia and the Balkan and Caucasus regions will be discussed by speakers from international agencies, investment banks and the mining industry.
The event is being organized by the World Bank’s Mulitlateral Investment Guarantee Agency.
