Drill results from the Southeast zone at Bre-X Minerals’ (ASE) Busang discovery in Indonesia point to a rich deposit of gold mineralization.
The company believes the 250 metres between fencelines SEZ-49 and SEZ-54 could contain more than 13 million oz.
The Southeast zone has a known strike length of 7 km.
To date, 21 holes have been drilled on the two fencelines. Geological information from 11 holes spaced at 50-metre intervals on SEZ-49 indicates the zone is mineralized over a width of 627 metres. Similar information from 10 holes drilled on SEZ-54 indicates the mineralized zone spans a width of 525 metres.
Bre-X has announced results from 43 holes in the Southeast zone. Each of the holes intersected more than 10 metres of mineralization using a cutoff grade of 1 gram gold per tonne.
In February, the company will announce results from a prefeasibility study focused on the Southeast zone.
