Argosy drops Dunka Road prospect

Argosy Mining (VSE) has dropped its option on the Dunka Road copper-nickel deposit in Minnesota in favor of advancing its epithermal deposits in Central Europe.

The company held an option to earn a 60% interest in the property from Fleck Resources (VSE).

Historic work, including 120 diamond drill holes, outlined a potentially open-pit resource of 800 million tonnes grading 0.43% copper and 0.11% nickel, plus credits for cobalt, palladium, platinum, gold and silver.

Argosy announced its decision after an independent consulting firm failed to substantiate the resource estimate.

Meanwhile, Fleck President John McGoran says he is confident work will continue on the property.
