A 5-hole, 2,000-metre drill program is being conducted by BHP Minerals Canada on Southern Africa Minerals’ (TSE) wholly owned Cabre polymetallic property near Matagami, Que.
The program will test geophysical anomalies discovered last summer north of the Cabre deposit. The deposit has an estimated resource of 1.2 million tonnes averaging 5.54% zinc, 1.31% copper, 0.236 gram gold and 9.27 grams silver per tonne.
Southern Africa is also exploring 3.5 million hectares of ground in Botswana, where it has identified more than 20 additional kimberlites.
