LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Geophysics under way at Alliger

A ground-based electromagnetic survey is following up airborne anomalies on the Alliger claim group in Labrador.

Situated 75 km north of the Voisey Bay discovery and midway between the properties of Canadian States Gas and Castle Rock Explorations, the project is operated by Eastfield Resources (VSE).

Drill targets are in the process of being permitted.

A major dyke, trending across the West and East properties in a northeast-southwest direction, is reported to be a troctolitic anorthosite. The structure has a strike length of 5 km and contains disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite.

The Alliger West claims are held 25% each by Eastfield, Island-Arc Resources (VSE), Athabaska Gold Resources (TSE) and Warner Ventures (VSE); the East claims are held 75% by Eastfield and 25% by Golden Sitka Resources (VSE); while the South claims are held 75% by Eastfield and 25% by Mongolia Gold Resources (VSE).
