Band-Ore Resources (CDN) has acquired a polymetallic deposit in Quebec’s Labrador Trough.
The deposit is within the boundaries of Band-Ore’s recently acquired OBC property. It consists of two mineralized zones: the North, which contains 1.15 million tonnes averaging 2% copper, 2.31% zinc, 0.42% lead, 0.09% cobalt, 2 grams gold per tonne and 38 grams silver; the South, which hosts 4.6 million tonnes grading 1.4% copper, 1.7% zinc, 0.1% lead and 0.08% cobalt, as well as 1.5 grams gold and 23 grams silver. Several other surface showings of copper-nickel, copper-zinc and copper have been reported.
In addition, Band-Ore has acquired more claims within the boundaries of its Due Diligence property, 24 km south of the OBC. The Due Diligence property has three known zones containing 1.7 million tonnes of 1.5% copper and 0.33% nickel.
Both properties have been optioned by First Western Minerals (VSE), which can earn a 51% interest in each.
