Of the 17 properties held jointly by Aranlee Resources (VSE) and NDT Ventures (VSE) in the Voisey Bay area of Labrador, six have been subjected to airborne geophysics while nine have undergone prospecting and mapping.
Highlights include the identification of five anomalous zones at project 10-1, with good corresponding electromagnetic responses. The area, within the Nain Plutonic Suite, consists predominantly of anorthosite. Sampling returned values of up to 0.38% nickel and 0.26% copper for one gossan within a high-priority area, while a second gossan assayed up to 0.55% nickel and 1.16% copper.
At project 15-1, also in the Nain Plutonic Suite, several large gossans were discovered over an area measuring up to 1 sq. km. Mineralization consists of massive pyrite, pyrrhotite, magnetite and minor chalcopyrite.
Several anomalies were revealed through airborne geophysics at projects 19-1 and 58-1, and follow-up ground work is continuing. Also, the partners have applied for a drilling permit for project 10-1.
Aranlee can earn a half interest by incurring exploration expenditures of slightly more than $1 million over the next two years.
