At the San Antonio property in Mexico’s Sonora state, drilling continues to return gold values for Laminco Resources (TSE).
Recent results include a 105-ft. intersection in hole 79 grading 0.082 oz. gold per ton and a 555-ft. intersection in hole 109 grading 0.044 oz.
Gold mineralization is hosted within an oval-shaped breccia pipe centred on the intersection of an east-west-trending regional fault and one of several northeast-southwest-trending cross faults.
Laminco has not defined the shape and extent of the pipe, although its surface expression measures about 360 ft. on a north-south axis and 520 ft. on an east-west axis.
The zone remains open downdip to the south, as well as in an east-west direction.
Regional work indicates that geologic features similar to those at the new breccia zone are present both to the east and west, according to Laminco.
As a result, the company has acquired additional ground and is now conducting surface mapping, sampling and drilling in the area.
