Preliminary work on the Cucaracha copper-gold project in Chile is returning encouraging results for Regeena Resources (VSE).
Sampling returned average grades of 2 grams gold per tonne and 2% copper within a thick replacement zone in flat-lying sedimentary rocks.
The mineralization is more extensive than indicated by initial work, and the company projects a “geological potential” of more than 6 million tonnes for what it hopes will be an open-pit deposit.
Mapping and sampling are in progress, as are ground geophysical surveys and trenching.
