Yorbeau finds new mineralization style

Yorbeau Resources (YRB.A-T) has discovered a new gold zone at more than 800 metres depth on the Augmitto block of its Rouyn property in the Abitibi region of northwestern Quebec.

A system of veins and veinlets of smokey quartz tourmaline with visible gold and representing 20% of the volume of the core was discovered at 825.6 metres.

An average grade from the most promising intercept was 2 metres grading 6.95 grams gold per tonne, from 841.5 metres to 843.5 metres.

The new zone is different from previously known mineralization on the property, which is within an alteration zone of carbonatized ultramafic rocks hosted by Temiskaming group sediments. The new structure is directly within the Temiskaming group sediments.

Augmittos historical reserves, estimated in 1988, were about 1.9 million short tons at 0.165 oz. gold per ton with a cutoff of 0.75 oz. gold per tonne. These resources were calculated to a vertical depth of 185 metres.

Several holes have intercepted the alteration corridor containing the mineralized zones hosting the historical Augmitto resources.

An average grade from hole S-416-B was 2.4 metres grading 2.3 grams gold per tonne between 668.10 metres and 670.5 metres.

On average, hole S-417 was 3.65 metres grading 2.28 grams gold per tonne from 611.5 metres to 615.15 metres.
