Vancouver – Gitennes Exploration (GIT-V) is encouraged by results from continuous rock-chip sampling at the recently-discovered Encantada target on its Tucumachay project in Peru.
Chip sampling at the target resulted in an average grade of 1.11 grams gold over 369 metres including 152 metres of 2.11 grams gold and 26 metres of 4.41 grams gold per tonne.
Crews chip-sampled the southern part of the Encantada target where it is exposed along a hillside. A total of 75 samples, each between 2 and 7-metres long yielded up to 5.94 grams gold per tonne. The traverse cut across the main orientation of the veins, oblique to the strike of the host rocks. The zone remains open along strike.
The target comprises multiple veins and vein breccias of black, fine-grained silica containing traces of orpiment and realgar. Jasperoids cross-cut the host limestone and dolomite.
Soil samples collected 70 metres up the hill, east of the sampling traverse returned elevated gold and silver while further to the north and east of Encantada near the top of the hill, the carbonate rocks have been replaced by jasperoid. Results for samples from this area are pending.
The company has optioned the project from Inmet Mining (IMN-T).
