Vancouver The second batch of results from Cross Lake Minerals’ (CRN-T) diamond drill program at the Ruddock Creek massive sulphide project has extended the high grade E-zone to the west. The Ruddock Creek property is situated about 100 km north of Revelstoke, B.C.
Following some very high grade intercepts from the first batch of drilling announced last month, the next set of drill holes expanded the massive sulphide deposit approximately 70 metres to the west of prior drilling.
Holes 107 and 108 intersected what the company has interpreted as the thick core zone of the deposit. Hole 107 intersected 15.12 metres grading 16.59% zinc and 3.70% lead from 144.2 metre depth; and hole 108 intersected 12.61 metres grading 11.54% zinc with 2.20% lead from 133.1 metres. The true width in these two holes is 77 and 75% of the reported intercepts, respectively.
The second batch includes intercepts of 10.3 metres grading 7.56% zinc and 1.57% lead from a depth of 132 metres in hole 105; and 10.79 metres grading 4.18% zinc with 0.59% lead from 116 metre depth in hole 106 with their true widths estimated at about 90%. These two holes at the southern edge of the E-zone are intruded by barren late-stage pegmatites.
The E-Zone was discovered in outcrop at the eastern end of a zone of zinc-lead massive sulphide mineralization. The thickest zone of mineralization is found at the nose of a fold which plunges over 3,000 metres. The next phases of diamond drilling which are to begin next year, will test the extent of the massive sulphide mineralization along the length of this fold.
The company can acquire up to a 70% interest in the property from Doublestar Resources (DSR-V). A total of 1,838 metres was drilled in eleven holes as part of its drill program.
