Drills keep turning on Cariboo

Vancouver An ongoing drill program by International Wayside Gold Mines (IWA-V) has identified five parallel, gold-bearing zones on the Cariboo gold project in Wells, British Columbia.

The latest results confirmed that three new mineralized zones have been intersected in the vicinity of the previously known Bonanza Ledge and BC vein. One zone lies in the hanging wall zone of the BC vein, the second marks the extension of the Bonanza Ledge some 1,250 ft. to the southeast and the third lies in the footwall of the original Bonanza Ledge, which was discovered last year.

Hole 10 was drilled to test the Bonanza Ledge zones at depth, but failed to return any significant values.

Following up hole 9 (65 ft. grading 0.09 oz gold per ton), hole 11 cut a new zone in the footwall of the Bonanza Ledge returning 22.6 ft. grading 0.22 oz gold.

Hole 12 and 13 were drilled 1,250 ft. to the southeast of the central part of the Bonanza Ledge. Hole 12 returned 12.6 ft. grading 0.09 oz gold, while hole 13 cut a new zone in the hanging wall of the BC vein returning 4 ft. grading 0.25 oz gold.

Moving the rig to the northwest in order to test a muscovite alteration zone with a coincidental soil gold geochemical anomaly hole 1 failed to return any significant values. Hole 2 cut a quartz vein yielding 0.67 oz gold over 1.8 ft.

Five additional holes have been completed and assay results are pending. Two rigs are continuing to test the BC vein.
