Vancouver — A 21-hole reconnaissance drill program over the Assean Lake gold property near Thompson Manitoba has cut a new gold zone for International Curator Resources (IC-T).
Located on the Hunt claims, the new discovery was cut by six of the holes over a 500-metre strike length. Mineralization occurs as silicified zones with pyrite, pyrrhotite, galena arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite in a strong structure associated with an Archean banded iron formation. Highlights from the drilling include:
- Hole 7 — 1.5 metres grading 2 grams gold per tonne;
- Hole 13 — 1.4 metres grading 1.2 grams gold;
- Hole 14 — 4.6 metres grading 9 grams gold;
- Hole 18 — 5.1 metres grading 4.2 grams gold;
- Hole 19 — 2.9 metres grading 5.18 grams gold;
- Hole 20 — 1.1 metres grading 5 grams gold; and
- Hole 21 — 2.2 metres grading 1.6 grams gold.
The zone remains open along strike and at depth. International Curator is in planning an infill drill program.
The junior can earn a 60% stake in the property from a private company by spending $1.25 million over four years.
